Atlas is India based manufacturer of asphalt plants (batch mix) and concrete batch plants. Atlas Asphalt batching plants are for operating and performing under rough operating conditions. In Philippines we have installed 5 number of asphalt plants. Many customers have put trust in Atlas with their concrete plant also as we have more than 15 number in Philippines. They have very well performed in different countries also. We have more than 100 asphalt batch mix plants installed in 5 years. Our equipment is well accepted by all our customers.
As a quality manufacturer and exporter from India our focus is to provide equipment which are reliable and dependable. Our asphalt batch mix plant lay emphasis on many parameters to reduce costs at customers end which include (but not limited to) operating cost, maintenance price, spare parts cost, service cost, machine set up cost, re-installation and after sales service cost. We have taken different measures to ensure that customer receive good quality equipment without burning their pocket.
In the month of November, 2019, we had an inquiry for asphalt batching plant from Philippines. We give them complete details. They were satisfied later they agreed to buy our equipment. The requirement was for a 60 tph plant but we proposed them our 80-100 tph EM 1250 model instead of the 60-80 tph EM 1000 model. The reason is in Philippines the aggregate moisture content tends to drop below 3% and some mix designs have dust percentage more then 30. So, we advised customer to go for one model higher to be on safe side. Also, the price difference between the two models EM 1000 (60-80 tph) and EM 1250 (80-100 tph) is less – so it makes sense to go for 1 model higher.
So, we agreed to settle for the 80-100 tph model with mixer size as 1250 kgs. The customer took a nice decision as it allows them to have a good machine at reasonable price. They were explained few details like: the cost involved in setting up, working of the plant, setting up the plant, how we can support them, how the plant is with skid plates to reduce foundation cost and many other questions. After satisfaction, they placed order for the same in one week. We started Asphalt batch mixing plant manufacturing process and the machine was ready on time. We invited customer to visit India to see our factory and their ready machine – which they agreed to.
Customer Visiting From Philippines For Asphalt Mixing (Batch Mix) Plants
Few days after placing the order, our Philippines customer agrees to visit us in India. I suggested them to see their ready asphalt batch mix plant at our factory. We also asphalt mixing plants agreed to take them to some of the good places in India. They agreed to spend 2-3 days more so that they can see some exciting places in India. Our main agenda was to discuss important things related to the machine during their visit. Hence, we decided to give enough time and importance to our discussion at our factory.
One of the important things that we wanted during their visit is to see our manufacturing facility in details. They were happy to see some of the important points that we take care during manufacturing of the machine. We showed them our raw material stock of all materials. They also see that everything is well laid out in the factory. We use plasma cutting machine for precise cutting. We treat all asphalt mixing plant components to sand blasting prior to the paint. Our staff is well qualified and our factory is huge enough to handle large volumes of production.

We had also promised them the asphalt batch mix plant control panel demo and we were ready with the same when they visited us. We explained them each screen of the display in the software. How easy it is to save, edit and delete recipes. They also got to see that the plant can be operated in manual as well as automatic mode with the control panel provide. The best part for them was to see the Siemens HMI and a computer with the same software displayed. We told them that the control panel can be operated via HMI or via the computer and each one acts as a backup for the other.
It was really nice to host them at our factory so that they could see all components live and also see the manufacturing process as well as meet with our Director. We discussed few points related to the setting up of the asphalt plant, how well we can manage the same. How properly we can arrange the technician visit to Philippines without any delay. Most importantly how do we make sure that they are able to run the plant effectively and complete this project on time.
We also discussed the transportation of the machine to Philippines, burner fuel usage and functioning of each component in details. All the discussion done in the meeting room after the factory visit was very fruitful and all the question were answered.
We hope to dispatch the machine soon, install it soon and get it running non-stop. We also wish our customer gets more business and profit from this machine.
